DEMETRE H. CHIPARUS was the best known sculptor of the 1920's. He was influenced by Egyptian motifs. His most dazzling works are interpretations of the exotic dancers and bejewelled sylphs of the Ballet Russe, French Theatre, Parisian salons and motion pictures.
